AUSTAFE represents a national network of managers of VET and exerts national leadership in support of its members. Membership is open to managers of VET, as well as State and Territory Authorities. On joining, new members can view the following documents in the Resources section of the AUSTAFE website:

• The History of AUSTAFE

AUSTAFE distributes a regular newsletter to all members. The newsletter is distributed electronically courtesy of TDA to member's email address which members provide at the time of joining the organisation.

AUSTAFE members are entitled to considerable discounts on conference, event and function fees.

AUSTAFE members are eligible to be nominated or apply for executive shadowing, leadership awards and membership of the national executive.
